Caves House Hotel Yallingup

We have been many times guest in restaurant and pub , service is very good, pleasant staff, atmosphere, well managed premises on right location.Food is delicious etc..etc..comming back for Australian day..

Where is Gordon Ramsey when you need him?The pub food was atrocious (and expensive)Family had a variety of dishes from the lobster to the nachos, every dish was a disappointment and left us wondering how they could charge such high prices for rubbish.We assumed it was just a tourist trap, where they would not expect non returning customers.The nachos looked like a 10 yr old had put it together, it lacked flavour, was cold and just non appetising at @ $30.The Moroccan beef salad will go down as the worst dish I have ever seen in my life for the price (yes Fyfe festival hold my beer) it was basically beef strips from coles, with some curry pre mix paste and some lettuce leaves, see attached pic. And for $42???Next was the lobster, which was definitely not fresh, the sauce didn’t suit, something you might be happy with on the Nullarbor, not in the heart of a beautiful food and wine region.To top it off they charged $7 for a tiny little tub of ice cream for a kid. And when asked how the order was going to one of the staff, we were advised she’s “just going to worry about the picking up glasses “Overall a very bad experience. Seems like the owners are more worried about profit rather than providing good food and service.

Didn't stay at accommodation, just a post wedding catch up.Great venue in beautiful spot. Nice pub & bar with great outdoor area shaded with Gum Trees.

My husband and I had a lovely couple of nights staying at Caves House. We couldn't fault the buffet breakfast, service, or location. The room was clean and the staff were friendly :) We would stay here again for sure.

We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment , the room was spacious clean and well maintained. The spa bath was great. Most apartments have beautiful views of gardens and are very quiet and peaceful. The pub area is mostly busy , but with plenty of areas to sit , they also have a bakery , general store and bottle shop on the property . Buffet breakfast was delicious and included in our room price . We ate at the restaurant for dinner , I had the salmon which was delicious . The food is overpriced but overall our stay was excellent and I would highly recommend staying at the Caves House

A regular place in a good location. Inside the atmosphere of a pub TAB, outside a nice beer garden. If you want a drink and something to eat you need to queue twice, unless at the food counter you decide you want pizza, because then you need to go outside to the pizza stall and order there, after queuing for your third time. The service is ok, sometimes charming but always improvised; after all, what do you expect from overseas backpackers going after their working holiday visa? But hey, why do you come here? To enjoy the side effects of Australian immigration policies or to have a nice afternoon drink and maybe a meal in a prime location? We had a capricciosa pizza, that didn't have mozzarella cheese, mushrooms from the tin, tinned artichokes, tinned ham and a regular size on good dough. For $28. A capricciosa elsewhere is maybe $18 or $20, and Domino's is way less still.Come here again? No.

Went to the hotel for dinner. It's a great child-friendly venue and we really enjoyed our meal. Lots of seating available, we walked in. A good spot for a decent meal in Yallingup.

This was a lovely surprise for me and when we arrived, we had high expectations of this hotel, the accommodation rates rival some of the most expensive. Stayed for 2 nights in a single bedroom apartment with balcony which was well appointed though a little tired. The bedroom looked inviting however the mattress was incredibly hard and sleep was difficult to come by. The toilet seat was broken and the outdoor chairs needed some cushions.The menu is not huge, is the same throughout the venue and very expensive considering you need to line up to order and pay whether you're in the restaurant or the beer garden. Breakfast was scarce and service even more scarce.Not sure whether it was a manager or the owner barking orders at junior workers but it was unpleasant to hear.I shall always remember this stay as my partner proposed and suggested it as our wedding venue.The house itself is a lovely heritage building, set in an amazing location and has a great feel unfortunately it didn't meet our expectations.

I came to the restaurant with my 7 month old for my youngest sisters 18th, I was then kicked out after ordering dinner as I didn’t have my id on me, I wasn’t drinking, wasn’t sitting near or at the bar, and I’m clearly not underage! So unfortunately me and my baby had to leave, was not impressed at all, and the staff were extremely rude about it! I explained that my partner had accidentally taken it up north with him as he works fifo, and they’re response was “next time don’t be so dumb and forget to bring your id to a pub.” Extremely disappointing as I’ve only heard good things about the restaurant!
